Give me more Sophie Gonzales

Going into this, I didn’t anticipate what would await me in Only Mostly Devastated. Reading the synopsis, I was a little reluctant to start this book because I expected this to rip my heart into pieces. I can’t express how glad I am I picked this novel up, because what I got was so much better.

I can only say this: Give me more Sophie Gonzales! The writing was beyond entertaining and funny and, not to forget, very addicting. I read this gem of a contemporary novel in one day, finishing it at 3 a.m. with heavy-lidded eyes. Let’s be honest you know a book is a five-star read when it does that to you.

Hilarious, diverse & heartfelt

Let’s talk about all things character, shall we? Not only will you love the diversity of them, but the flaws each of them have are probably the most realistic you will encounter. You will feel for them and you will absolutely love Ollie’s humor, sarcasm, and wit. And even though Ollie seems close to perfect at first, you will soon discover differently.

Hilarious, cute, and heartfelt, this is a contemporary queer novel everyone should read.
